What is AVOD? A Guide to Advertising Video on Demand
madelynariana last edited by
Advertising Video-On-Demand (AVOD) is a video-on-demand service that is used primarily for marketing purposes. AVOD is different from pay TV in that users are required to watch advertisements in order to use the service, after which they are able to access the content they want.
In this way, AVOD provides advertisers with an avenue for reaching a large audience without having to spend on TV or radio advertisements.
The benefits of AVOD include a measurable return on investment, the ability to target specific consumers, and better customer engagement metrics. In contrast, AVOD has two notable disadvantages - it often lacks exclusive content and quality content due to the need for advertising revenue.
