App launch page is not saved.

I’m migrating an app from Phonegap Build to Monaca and have been following the instructions found here:

and
https://docs.monaca.io/en/products_guide/monaca_ide/build/build_android/
However, whenever I attempt to build I get a rather cryptic message stating:
“You do not have the necessary setting to build. App launch page is not saved.”
Can anyone provide more detail on what exactly causes this error?

@jeb62868, are you building your Android app for debug or distribution?
If for distribution, did you configure and import the KeyStore and Alias?
