Monaca inAppUpdater plugin advice please.

Hi, I am trying to develop an app where I think the inAppUpdater plugin will be of use to me.

Can you tell me at what point I pay for the plug-in? Is it when the App is published to a App Store or if this isn’t the case at what point?

Also if I have the folder structure:
www/
data/

does the entire app get updated or can I target the data folder specifically?
