Ons-input login form not working

I have implemented a login form using ons-input and it is showing up upon launch. The problem is, I cannot choose anything; I can’t hit the username and password button and enter the information. I can’t hit the sign in button either and it just looks like a page.
Please note that I have the tab bar and app splitter implemented in my index.html file. I also have Cordova plugins, Monaca core utilities, jquery, and onsenui installed as well.
Is there an issue with Onsen UI and the splitter template?
